Because of the cost of shipping furniture and household goods to and from other countries, it's a standard procedure for many expats to sell their apartment fully furnished and equipped when they leave. This means you can buy everything from their sofas and beds to their plates and forks. The good news is that it doesn't increase the price so you're getting an added bonus of the furniture. The bad news is that often the furniture isn't exactly your style.
