We had a simple ceremony on the top of our condo building, surrounded by a few dozen close friends and family members. The breeze was blowing, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and we had the Pacific Ocean as our backdrop. I'm a perfectionist, but I have to admit... it was perfect.

When I moved to Panama, I was in a hurry to get here but I didn't know why. My house in Dallas hadn't sold yet, and my apartment in Panama wasn't finished yet... but something was urging me to JUST GO. In hindsight, I'm glad I did. If I had waited for the sun, moon and stars to align, I wouldn't have met my husband. Sometimes, you just have to take the plunge.
For those of you who think you can't find love in Latin America, you can. For those of you who think you can't find love after 40, I've proven you wrong. For those of you who think that Panama might be for you...give it a try. It might just change your life forever.
