For expats living in Panama, Happy Hour can be as elusive as a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Go to most bars at 5 p.m. and you won't find Happy Hour drink specials nor will you find hordes of people. What are thirsty expats to do?
Start our own happy hour, of course! Four thirsty friends decided to start an expat Happy Hour every Wednesday as a way to meet new friends, connect with old friends, and satisfy our thirst for liquid happy. We would like this Happy Hour to be open to anyone who:
- Speaks English
- Is a foreigner in Panama
- Likes to meet new people
- Wants to have some fun on a Wednesday evening
You don't have to meet all of the criteria... just one will do. The four founding members were born in 4 different countries, speak 3 different native languages and have a wide range in age. It doesn't matter how old you are, how young you are, or what your native country is... feel free to join us and have some fun.
I chose the photo above to go with this post because it represents fun. Tracy Busch Pate, the blonde with her tongue out, will be at the Hard Rock for the inaugural Happy Hour, as will I... the pink-hatted Gringa. I'll wear a big hat for our first happy hour so you can easily spot me.
Join us for the Inaugural Happy Hour!
Where: Hard Rock Hotel, Second Level Bar, Panama City
When: 5-7p.m.
What: No-host Happy Hour
Who: YOU and your friends
Why: Because It Will be Fun!
See you at the expat Happy Hour.
Cheers!
